The GOP is running scared. They are terrified of a Hillary Clinton presidential run. They see her as a lightening rod that will embolden the feminist-left (plus those other unthinking vagina endowed individuals), in the same manner that Obama’s candidacy emboldened the bleeding heart liberals aided by GOPers who were tired of bailouts, tired of endangering their children to free ungrateful third world nations, and tired of pedantic political elites.
Hence, the political pundits, the GOP powerbrokers, the spineless, mealy-mouthed Washington insiders, seek out someone of “substance” to run against her. They look and they look and they look. Faced with such a contretemps, who do they find?
A former Florida governor, run out of public office due to scandal, who supports Common Core (he is making mucho moolah off of it), a Bush nobody really wants, except the GOP elites and his cigar-smoking-backroom cronies.
A New Jersey governor that is caustic, crude, classless, while playing to the democrats, trying to kiss-ass conservatives on his way to the nomination. Doesn’t discuss, simply derides those who disagree with him.
A Kentucky libertarian with questionable ties to racists, devoid of any real sense of international policy (he would make leading-from-behind Obama seem like an active foreign affairs agitator) , who is also just this side of the tin foil hat wearing isolationist cabal. Attaches himself to questionable persons without thinking everything through. Well the acorn doesn’t really fall from the tree now does it? Read HERE.
A Texas senator, while brilliant, is too obsessed with Obamacare and seems to have alienated most of his constituents, especially the female ones. Junior and untested. With no real political record to speak of. Will face a challenge as a “natural-born” citizen. Tea Party darling. At odds with the GOP elite.
An Alaskan woman, former VP nominee, who has remade herself into a media darling, and a polarizing figure through no fault of her own. No real political platform though, except to make fun of the democrats. No original political ideas either. But a terrific shot with a gun, as her latest TV incarnation shows.
A former Arkansas governor, failed Presidential candidate and now a TV host, with hardened conservative leanings, except of course when it comes to applying the law to members of his own family. Boring, preachy, self-righteous.
The governor from Louisiana, son of Indian immigrants, who talks like a good-ol’-boy while cutting programs for the poor, whose playing fast and loose with Medicaid funding. Running one of the poorest states in the Union. But on the other hand, NOLA is doing rather well even though it is considered one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
A Texas governor who had a brain lapse during a debate last Presidential go-round, as if that isn’t going to be played over and over again by everyone (including his GOP rivals). Running a state with formidable economic standing, but the jobs are not careers, they are minimum wage jobs (of course at least people are employed and not on unemployment). State services suck. But if you murder, Texas will kill your ass.
A congressman, former VP nominee, with such a duplicitous budget proposal that he has been disowned by his own party.
A Pennsylvanian right-to-life absolutist that is incredibly out of touch with the American people, who also keeps losing primaries, senate as well as presidential.
Ohio governor, with a background in the House and a former media personality. State economy doing well under his watch. New legislation to induce business and help people with their taxes. Unemployment 6.5%. He did such a good job as governor helping the state of Ohio recover from the 2008 crash that it went for Obama in the 2012 elections.
A New Mexico female governor, former DA and prosecutor, married to a member of law enforcement, successful, respected, very independent and Hispanic, but seemingly outside the loop of control by the GOP elite. Will the elites try to destroy her candidacy? Will they then offer her a deal for the no.2 slot in exchange for a future Presidential run in order to get their chosen loser on the ballot? Not certain how making her second fiddle to some failed male will help her chances of becoming POTUS in the future.
So there you have it. The wonderful list of candidates by those in the know. You need to ask yourself do these GOP power brokers really want to win back the White House, or do they simply want to whine, complain and fear-monger in order to collect money to aggrandize their lifestyles? Those with real credentials and the support of their constituents, the political class do not want. Those that the political class want the people have no use for. It’s not a wonder that the media has already anointed Clinton the next POTUS.
And yes you can add your own contretemps and candidates to the list in the comments below.
